Currently building the new For You algorithm for Loops, it's long overdue.
The current reverse chronological feed will be renamed Local.

@dansup looking forward to it, I imagine it'll be a major improvement for Loops.
@sashin its based on several signals like accounts you follow, videos you've liked, hashtags you've used.
You can also give feedback if you like or dislike the results to better train it. The more you use it, the more accurate to your tastes it will be.
@dansup what will "for you" be? How does it know what's "for you"?
@sashin thats because Local is a local-only feed, we will have a Network feed for remote content, and if there is demand we can ship a "Global" feed that contains both local and remote videos in a reverse-chron feed!
@dansup I feel like "local" isn't the right name for a reverse chronological feed.
Local usually means only posts on the specific instance as opposed to from all instances.
@mpjgregoire it's on pause while I implement some updates to the mobile app, including Playlists, Duets, Pinned Posts, the new For you Feed and in-app registration.
I should have most if not all of that implemented by the end of this weekend, then we can tag a new release and proceed with App Store approval.
@dansup How's the progress of the apps through Google Play and the App Store coming along?
@dansup What about custom feeds like make your own feed curation you like and optional for public display?
@dansup especially keywords to learn and train the algorithm in the next entry
@jlouiessxz That sounds interesting, would you mind creating an issue so we can track this feature request better?
@dansup done!
@jlouiessxz Perfect, thank you!
@dansup you're welcome!
