   This is what I’ve been living under for the last 18 days. It has not broken, but the dreariness started breaking me. So I got myself out of there and went to the Groveland area (just before the western Yosemite border) and got myself feet in the trail.

     The hike to Carlon Falls was short -- 4 miles out and back -- but every step had SUNSHINE! BLUE SKY! DIRT! PINES! FLOWING WATER!

     And an opportunity for a classic Jason mushroom selfie 😂

     Being near the flowing Tuolumne River the entire time was so healing. And so beautiful. There wasn't a soul on the trail, either. Just the sound of cascades, falls, and birds.

     Here are a couple shots from the falls area. I think this is a future swimming hole when temps turn hot again.

     @RunRichRun I'm genuinely surprised about that. It was nearly 20 degrees warmer up there (only 4500ft) than down in the central valley, so I expected to see at least a few people escaping this endless fog.
