     I wouldn't use an ATtiny85, but an ESP32 with a SATA bridge (e.g. QSPI or OSPI based) would absolutely rule for telemetry storage. stick a 2.5" enterprise HDD on there and you could build a data logger that lasts a decade.

     someone should make a thing like the WIZnet W5500 but for SATA, so we can finally, at long last, attach a 24TB disk to an ATTiny85.
