Yea, I've been putting this off for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. I bought direct from Seagate and got a discount, but the grand total with taxes and everything is $2,451.54 USD. 😩
I'll use my old hard drives as a non-raid zfs pool and they should be able to hold all my backups. Once a I get a regular snapshot/backup schedule going I should be set for a few years I think. -

You can't ref-copy blocks between ZFS datasets if they're encrypted (even if it's the pool itself and not the individual datasets that are encrypted), so I ended up having to spend a few days moving things between datasets. But now that everything is settled, I have everything in one RAIDZ array. I'm kinda afraid of low long 30TB will last me :blobcatsweat:
