@nikatjef It felt that way for me at first, comming from Windows XP and having been in 95, 98, and Me before that. But that knowledge switch it triggered was so helpful I got used to it fast, and now bottom feels... archaic, wrong, and uncomfortable.

I have been putting it at the bottom since the mid-'80s at least when I used SUN's version of CDE. When I first saw Gnome (and Unity) with the bar at the top it just felt wrong to me.
