emacs is the superior editor and it's not even a question aside from the fact that we still haven't managed to make the foundation of anything better than the messy elisp vm

@sun It's not bad at all and yeah as you said the only thing that makes me want to almost abandon it is the non snappyness and elisp kinda sucking a lot (+ too many obscure variables and funcitons)

@meeper I was excited about learning it but when I learned it's kind of slow I noped out because I can't stand non-snappy editors. But is it really that bad?

@sun Yeah, I used to be a sucklesstard and avoided it like the plague but once I grew a spine and realized that being limited to block based characters is absolutely stupid.
emacs is a nice in between from a terminal to a browser just that the implementation is kinda a mess due to legacy but it's still clean enough.
Also cool shit like supporting brahmi (basicaly the source of all indo- scripts, that barely anyone knows about lol)
