     @a1ba @cell At least with Java one could argue that it actually is better during Oracle ownership with many language and runtime features added

     I still remember the absolutely stagnent years that is Java 5/6 era :akko_aaa:

     and as it turned out, the only thing that's common between Java and JavaScript is Oracle owning a trademark and doing nothing useful with it.
