     They are delusional if they think that everyone else before them had an easy life.

     Complaining about chores and errands make it sound like a teenager who want to sleep all day and play computer games while being supported by parents who do all the chores for them.

     Nailed it. When I was a kid in the 90s my parents worked hard and we had vacations, big meals, lavish holidays, and they by todays money standards would be considered poor.
