   A lot of Germans are posting in German about #Giessen today, and since many of our friends overseas may be confused, here's a summary:

   The current iteration of the Nazi-Party, the AfD, is holding a summit in the town of Giessen today. They announced the formation of a youth org (Hitler-Jugend?). A ton of people came to protest. The police are busy protecting the Nazis, and politicians in the current government see fit to attack the protesters.

   This needs international attention.

     @jens One of the harder hitting things to happen to me this year is I had a melt down over my email showing me a horrible video that was a link in an attachment in a pdf. Happened as DOGE was storming government buildings and installing Russian servers.

     I worked for a client in Europe at the time and one of the guys who worked there decided to talk to me about how DOGE was maybe doing right. Went on and on about immigrants. I said what about me?

     I'm "different" somehow.

     It's everywhere.

     @crazyeddie @jens hung out with a German acquaintance who visited SF and said Germany should do the same thing as ICE to the Arab immigrants.
