    Is it just me, or is USB-C an incredibly infuriating connector?

    It always feels like the socket is about to break off, and the latch that keeps the plug all the way in is very inconsistent between plugs, so some plugs just barely sit in, and will lose one or more lanes with the slightest movement...

      @wolf480pl Yeah, same there in fact I ended up having to use the dock USB-C connector on my laptop instead of the AC-oriented one, otherwise it wouldn't ~charge reliably.

      I think it's not heavy-duty enough, micro-usb already had a bit of that kind of problem but thankfully it wasn't used everywhere.

      @wolf480pl I still prefer DisplayPort over it even though so many of the cables are annoying to take out as well, like need a lot of pinch force to get off.
      (And Ethernet… get metal clips already)

      I think XLR might be the neatest for this but I haven't used it much.

      @lanodan
      tbh I kinda like the screw-in ones... on fixed equipment. Not on laptops.

      @wolf480pl Bring back stuff going clonk nicely in general tbh, so much stuff is annoyingly brittle and unreliable.

      Only connectors I'm glad they're gone or on their way out are the ones with screws on the sides like VGA/DVI/… they always ends up catching others cables and sometimes gets the "tightened by god" effect when unscrewing.

      @lanodan @wolf480pl my experience with side-screw connectors is that there's always one screw that screws in well and one that does not, so I'm happy those are gone
