@thomasfuchs the irony from my pov as a software engineer is that writing the code isn’t the hard part. Knowing why I’m writing code is more difficult because it requires understanding who I’m writing it for. And that requires working with and understanding other people.

@thomasfuchs so despite being very into @algernon amazing project these days. My degree is actually CompSci minor neurobiology because I wanted to do AI. There is a right way to do AI which is being done in research universities, and then the wrong way which is being done commercially. And because of this there will always be this cycle of good tech to enshttification. It's the enshittification that makes people money. NOT the actual technology. Research AI doesn't even work the same way.
