@hankg @thomasfuchs I figured it out the first time one failed and thus became acceptable for me to disassemble. "Ah, that's what's floppy!"

@hankg @thomasfuchs My mother was an awful parent, but one of the few things she got right was I was allowed to take apart anything that stopped working, fueling my curiosity and fascination with computers an electronics.
...I am not sure how I survived her lack of knowledge of CRTs. I look back in horror at 8 year old me taking them apart.
