Very tempted to properly do a food thing for the Bay Area because I disagree with almost all of our food writers on where to eat

I feel like there very easily impresssed by very basic Asian foods. Which is fine, but they aren’t as ground breaking as you make them sound. I think it points to a complete lack of understanding of many Asian cuisines by many of the food writers except those with cultural exposure. Which just makes it sound like many of these reviews are not for me. I don’t want to spend $250 in a bad and expensive San Francisco Korean or Japanese restaurant that wouldn’t even be moderately average in most cities around the world

@skinnylatte I feel like it’s very Bay Area to be easily impressed by everything. Everything is brilliant, everything is revolutionary, everyone is going to get rich next week.

@skinnylatte Is Luke Tsai among these writers or the exception? He seems to champion smaller family-owned spots and places that are popular among their respective communities (but also I'm definitely not qualified to judge)
