One of the coolest things about conferences is meeting famous people you only see online! Here's @jorge , the master mind behind Bluefin and all the other great projects (I'm a Bazzite user). #KubeCon#Bluefin#Bazzite#Fedora#Linux
Let me change subjects just for a little bit, and provide some unpopular opinion: Maroon 5 doesn't need Adam Levine. They shred by themselves. Yeah, honestly, they play really good, but his voice is excessively squeaky. 😄 #KubeCon#Maroon5
So, one very cool observation about KubeCon: unless you are following the AI track, there are not many talks about AI itself. The vast majority of AI mentions are either quick suggestions on how to use it for making operations easier or, much expected, how to manage the underlying infrastructure behind the AI to make it run smoothly and cost less. That's what I'm here for: the actual infrastructure, AI or not. And I'm happy like a kid in a candy store. #KubeCon#Kubernetes#AI#LLM#HomeLab@homelab
Another cool thing I've been noticing, which is not directly Kubernetes related, is that there is an interesting amount of people using real-time translation tools on their phones. Like they sit in a presentation, the app listens to the presenter and it shows up translated in their screen to the language they prefer. It's so cool to see this out in the open.
My biggest mistake at KubeCon: walk all the way from the lunch area to the last room on building C. The walk was so long that I'm probably going out on the street and getting an Uber to go back. 😮💨 #KubeCon
And that's a wrap for KubeCon 2025. Amazing week full of amazing content and amazing people! Lots of things to read and test. The brain is racing with so many ideas. Also: Atlanta is great, and close to me, so I need to come back and see more of the city. #KubeCon#HomeLab@homelab#Kubernetes
