    @nemo it's a bit of an oversimplification, things after the ? are parameters sent to the server, and they are extremely frequently used to track people, sure, but they can be used for a lot more than that, and sometimes removing them will mean people following the link won't get where you expect them to, so unless you know what you are doing, it's better to check that the link still works after removing them, and if it doesn't, to try to find which parameters are useful or not.
