     @JustDisa @CozyLife @RehnyNytes256 my last rewatch was almost 3 years ago
     the first 3 seasons (old spongebob) are honestly incredible. s4 has a few good ones (“honorary old spongebob episodes”) but you can see how quickly it fell apart. one thing I liked is that it really felt like it took place underwater with the sound design and random bubbles that float by. also the fish characters resemble actual fish and that is their key defining trait. the new episodes stopped doing all those things and started over-exaggerating the side characters‘ appearances to basically look like humans with fins on their arms and backs. thats it
