     @sennoma Headmates are other consciousnesses in the same brain. My system considered us separate people, some systems experience them as split from an original, some systems experience them has something created- There's many different kinds. I can only accurately describe my experience. Think of the who of someone you know. All the things that make that person them, that doesn't include their body. Now imagine that in your brain, with you, and you take turns with the shared body.

     What are headmates and how do they work and what does it mean when you say yours are gone? Anything you feel like sharing about this will be fascinating to me.

     @sennoma In my case, my headmates were always there. I don't remember any period of time before them. What I mean when I say they are gone, that they have died... It's just me now. I don't hear anyone else in there, there's nobody else at the front (using the body) ever, there's no evidence someone besides me has been front, none of that. It's just me now, all the time, by myself.

     @sennoma We had the firm belief there were 3 categories of system -
     Natural,
     Trauma Caused,
     and Mixed.

     @hellomiakoda I may be off topic, but I would like to point out that according to Buddha, within the framework of a 2,500-year-old system (not philosophy, it is entirely about experience), there is no such thing as a separate, independent self. It is described as "empty." I can imagine that I am "me," but in a second I will no longer be the same. And nowhere is there such a thing as an unchanging foundation of "this is me." No one has found it.

     @sennoma We've met other plural systems, and there are some among my followers, and I have a friend who figured it out about themselves relatively recently. Many mask, but they're around. You may even know one. Perhaps they all act the same to you so they don't get recognized, or maybe you've only met one member in a system.

     Yeah, it's totally ok to ask more later. :)

     I'm sorry to tap out for now, but it's 2am and my eyes are closing on their own. But I will have more questions tomorrow if that's OK!
