   BOTH political parties in the US are weaponising starvation for political goals.

   They played chicken, it went to the wire, and they BOTH decided starvation was the good option.

   This is why oligarchy is a bad thing.

   We need a philosophy that politics, economics, and societal systems exist to serve humanity.

   At the moment humanity exists to serve those things.

     Some people are complaining of the notion that it's possible that two parties in an oligarchy can be bad at once.

     One being worse does not make the other good.

     They are both weaponising starvation.

     If this fact makes you feel discomfort, good. That discomfort is a catalyst for the evolution of your ideals.

     @flowerpot @farbel I am aware of this, but then it won't be both parties doing it, it would be one party doing it.

     My one issue with this is previous shut downs have not affected SNAP. The Democrats who have standing are also suing to force the use of the relevant funds.

     The Democrats in Congress are totally attempting to weaponize Republican cruelty and I'm not arguing your premise is wrong but saying they're both weaponizing hunger is a stretch to me.
