      @BroDrillard That's not how it works over there. Europe is pseudo-socialist. The corps constantly threaten to fire people and this pressures the govt into giving them gibs. They were, and are, way behind on electric car tech even though this is a very popular issue in Europe, and has been for 20 years. They didn't invest because they wanted more government subsidies. What's astonishing is that on top of those, Porsche poured 500M into a factory in the last years and is now pulling the plug. If you're just grifting, you should be smart enough to not overexpose your own capital, and if you do, you should probably see that it is a sound investment in the first place. For the longest time, they were.

      @WandererUber @BroDrillard indeed, but I think germany is a bit of a special case, they have really decided to absolutely nuke their industrial capacity because .. green stuff? - I don't really understand the thought process.

      @BroDrillard yeah dude
      What I was trying to get at is that there is no course to change, because these people are too retarded now. They literally DID change course and this is one reason for their predicament. They torched a 500 million investment into battery tech and have nothing to show for it and I think the CEO is almost out too

      The shitlibs in the German govt were probably pressuring them about impossible green shit. Still, if you got half a billion you can do something useful with it.

      @BroDrillard From what I'm reading this is not even due to the usual suspects, it's just terrible mismanagement.
      They complained for years that they need subsidies to develop green tech, then got them and still pissed away all their money and now they have nothing to show for it, are not competitive and all that money is down the drain. Imagine wasting 500 million on a battery factory and not even having a battery factory in the end. lmfao.

      The managerial revolution is failing due to the retardation of the um... managers.

      What a mess. I was under the impression that Germany was doing reasonably well until 2015 when Mutti Merkel decided to fuck everything with rapefugees.

      @sickburnbro @BroDrillard Their industrial capacity was mostly nuked beforehand. It hasn't really helped let's be honest, but they imported millions of brownoids to suppress wages 10 years ago. At least that was the last wave. Their competitiveness has been dropping long before that. At the turn of the century a lot of businesses and brands were basically already dead. A lot of it is in China now.
      The price surge mostly came from the market shock of the Americans blowing up the pipeline and the Germans having to sit there like good little vassals and take it.
      The Greens tried to convince their base to accept LNG from America, even though terminal construction would damage marine ecosystems. Only for Biden to stop LNG exports to get one over on Texas (iirc that was the reason) not cooperating with some fed requirement about illegals.
