@skinnylatte I'm glad Americans are being exposed to different development patterns through YouTube. The generic American suburb is inefficient, short sighted, and will be a massive burden on us as they decline. The poor rural areas in our country are also truly upsetting. What's your problem with it anyway? Everywhere has tradeoffs but we could do so much better and this content expands the overton window.
@andrew773 a lot of this type of content ‘American goes to this place and then makes a living explaining poorly all the things about it’ irks me because they are often factually inaccurate and sometimes flat out incorrect. I also feel a lot of American urbanism content has a W and N Europe worship aspect which is hard to watch because sometimes they do it without questioning many of the aspects of those systems that people who live there care about. Just feels utterly superficial to me
