     this actually looks like a legitimate DoS attack more than anything; the query options are of a kind that would cause cache-busting

     further examination of trace samples confirms this cannot possibly have been legitimate traffic (including AI crawlers), it looks very much like a DoS attempt

     extremely pleased to have architected a service where i find out about a DoS attempt from "huh the heatmap looks surprisingly hot today"

     @whitequark If it was a DoS, hard to imagine why it only lasted a minute or two, though? Unless they turned it on, noticed it wasn’t doing anything, then gave up. But will they come back with more firepower, if so …
