I’ve complained some, I know, about MacOS 26’s bugs but, after trying Ubuntu 25.10 I’ll stop complaining about Mac.
In this latest Ubuntu not even the terminal works. It really is making apples latest OS’s look like works of art.

@collectifission I’m honestly impressed at just how bad it is on my little Framework laptop.
@chris wow, that bad huh?
@grueproof It only runs one command before it stops rendering anything. For instance, if I run `ls` that’s it. When the prompt returns it will no longer render anything I type until I kill and restart the app.
WiFi is having similar issues, shows my home network 6 times. Can’t be completely hardware related as I just tried switching from Fedora which worked fine.
Flatpak is completely broken, and appears to be a known bug.
Firefox crashes every 3-4 minutes.
@chris That ... Sounds pretty weird to me, given how much the average Linux user uses the terminal. What happened?
@grueproof At this point, after ~ an hour of use, I’ve put it down. I don’t have time to try to set it all up with that many things failing.
@topher1kenobe Hard to say. I was running the latest Fedora (maybe the same Gnome version) until I tried this without issue. This was… impressively bad though.
@chris Is it Ubuntu's fault, or Gnome's?
