   Had $5000 stolen out of my bank account today.
   
   I asked the bank how this happened and they said, probably a gas pump debit card skimmer.
   
   When I was a kid, you could pull up to the pump, wave at the clerk, and they'd turn it on so you could fill up.
   
   Today we use a plastic card with a microchip, pin number, and 17 other "safety" features and still get robbed blind for the sin of just trying to get gas
   
   I HATE this diversified shit pit, piss-trough of a civilization more than I have the vocabulary to express.

     I'd never use my debit card on a gas pump. It's sketchy enough putting it into ATMs. My credit card gets skimmed at the gas pump I can just dispute the charge and it becomes the fraud department's problem.

     I get that some guys around here might not want a credit card because usury and all that, but you can just use it like a debit card if you always pay it off in full every month. You don't pay any interest and you get way better fraud protection.

     @Hoss @JoePrich I make sure I gas up 1) when it's daylight or 2) I'm at a mostly White place. If I need to use an ATM, use a drive up one where you're not getting out of your car.
