Damn, instead of practicing drawing female anatomy, I'm wrapped up in doing historical research for clothing again.

@whiteman_ Not if I'm trying to draw adorably small breasts, damn me! I wish I had X-ray vision! GRAAAAAAAH! It's an enigma I say!
Ok, now that I am slightly more composed, my main issue really is about figuring the balance out. Ignoring height, this pic has a similar androgynous appearance I'm trying to evoke. The feminine shoulder waist and hip ratio is subtle enough to be androgynous and still attractive to a normal heterosexual man... My greatest struggle however is doing this with more clothing on the lower half, since clothing pads you out. There'd be too much visual weight on the bottom, creating a more feminine silhouette, and I need to create some kind of plausible deniability towards the boobs without conventionally applying sarashi wrapping...

@whiteman_ MY LABORS HAVE HIT A SNAG! IT'S THE GREATEST CONUNDRUM CONCEIVED BY OTAKU KIND! HOW TO DEPICT A REVERSE-TRAP WHILE STILL KEEPING HER LIGHTLY DRESSED! THE WHOLE POINT OF A REVERSE TRAP IS THAT SHE'S USING CLOTHES TO DISGUISE OR HIDE HER FEMININITY! I'VE BEEN WRESTLING WITH HOW TO KEEP THE WAISTS SLIM YET STILL CUTE, THAT CAN BE EASILY HIDDEN WITH PANTS AND PERIOD TYPICAL LOWER GARMENTS, BUT MEN ARE TYPICALLY BARE CHESTED! I COULD GO HAM WITH THE SARASHI, COVER EVERYTHING UP TIGHTLY, BUT THAT'S NOT EROTIC- I MEAN CUTE ENOUGH! PLUS, THAT STILL LEAVES THE ISSUE OF THE WAIST! I COULD MAKE A STRAIGHT, STREAMLINED SILHOUTTE WITH A VEST, BUT BECAUSE WOMEN HAVE SLIMMER SHOULDERS, I DON'T WANT TO DESTROY THAT VISAGE WITH A NATURAL RESTING ARM POSITION. MAKING THE HOLES OF THE SLEEVELESS VEST IS A STOPGAP MEASURE, BECAUSE THE ELBOWS COULD STILL PUSH THE CLOTH IN AND REVEAL THE MORE FEMININE PHYSIQUE HIDDEN UNDERNEATH! GRAAAAAAAAAAH! I NEED TO FIND MORE REVERSE-TRAPS TO STUDY! ONLY THEN WILL THE PATH FORWARD BE CLEARER!

@Koropokkur @whiteman_ Nah, can't be her. Tits look different. Mine's got a more modest bosom. I'd also argue the facial structure is different, but I could be wrong if a different reference proves otherwise. Quality ain't too good on that one compared to mine. A good shot of her freckles will make or break it.

@Rhodesian_YuKari No you bloody fool. To draw beautiful smaller breasts it is best done when emulating a European lass... Asian women not so much

@whiteman_ I was about to draw Darjeeling, who has big breasts, in a Union Jack bikini and jacket... but it's funny you say that because I forgot I still had this image saved as a reference.
Nice 🧐☕

@whiteman_ Because although big breasts are nice, no denying that, I figure it'd be a mark of high skill to be able to draw an appealing flat or small breasted woman. Big tits are simple enough to draw once you figure it out.
...Been staring at this guide for a while, and looking at references, I think I've been getting it down but that's beside the point. My issue is with drawing loosely tied sarashi around it, but that's minor compared to the overall balance I'm trying to figure out with the rest of the body.
