   is it possible to feel old when you're only 33? because that's where i'm at right now. the world is moving too fast for me.

   it's not just technology changes; that's easy to handle. i've noticed a profound ideological shift worldwide that started in roughly 2015 onward.

   i was a 90s kid. i feel like i'll probably be obsolete by the year 2035.

   i don't say this with any sort of dread. i simply notice that the way human beings fundamentally exist is changing fast, in ways i don't fully understand.

     i will now substantiate this feeling. i observe:

     * people are becoming more emotive, less substantive, in their speech; conversely, we have better geniuses than we did in the past, but most of us are getting stupider.

     * people are being deskilled at an alarming rate; AI is only partly to blame.

     * people are becoming more extreme, in whatever views they have. less nuanced. AI and personalised social media are largely to blame. the quality of news is noticeably lower than it was 20 years ago.
