   One year ago today, Hurricane Helene made landfall near Perry, Florida
   At the time, nobody knew the wide-reaching devestation it would cause in the most forgotten region of America: Appalachia
   Ultimately, the official numbers say that about 250 people died as a direct result of the storm (flood drownings, mudslides, et al.), at least 157 of them being just in the Asheville, NC area.
   As we all know, the government stats are always fake & gay, so the true number is likely magnitudes larger, especialy when you factor-in the extended effects of the storm, like power outages, starvation, freezing-to-death, etc.
   And it should go without saying that of course we're talking about almost exclusively White people affected by this natural disaster followed by the purposeful government mismanagement, neglegence, & malice.

     My sister went up into NC with several vans full of supplies from her church and stayed there with other church members for about three week helping move supplies in. Most churches were coordinating among themselves with a massive lack of effort from any government relief entities.
     
     Now with the current news cycle, everyone has forgotten about this. Now more than ever, it seems really apparent this was all intentional. Within 5~10 years you'll see people selling everything for pennies to mining companies. There's a ton of Lithium, Cobalt and other ore in those hills. I don't think this was a purely natural disaster.

     I have been mentioning again & again that the State of North Carolina was directly involved in prolonging the disaster, & I certainly mean it.
     When I was there, & speaking to others who went, none of us saw a single rescue operation from the State of North Carolina; in the last poast I mentioned EMS from Michigan coming, I saw alot of TN government vehicles, some from GA, KY, & VA; I even saw government officials from MARYLAND coming to help in Western NC... but not a single NC vehicle.
     You have to remember, not only do they hate everyone here for being White, they also hate everyone here for our politics.. & 2024 was an election year.
     The governor seat was up for election last year, & it was set to be a very tight race, with Republicans predicted to narrowly win.
     Western North Carolina (with the exception of college-town Asheville) was deep deep red.
     So the government of NC (Democrats) colluded with the Federal government (Also Democrats) to prolong the tragedy so that those in W-NC could not get to the polls.
     Even the yellow media will admit that the turnout was lower than in the prior presidential cycle (2020), but they pretend all was fine.
     As with every race, the Democrats would do anything they could to cheat.
     President Donald Trump (R) would win the state despite the murders & mayhem, but because they were also ballot-stuffing in the east, Governor Josh (((STEIN))) (D) would win the Governorship.

     We White folk who settled Appalachia are strong; we are fighters; we persevere; we work together; we have always & will always overcome even when the odds are stacked against us.
     Hurricane Helene is just one more chapter in the story of our ultimate victory over evil & tyranny.
     I've written before on other topics such as this, like the Coal Wars & on Labor Day, & I emplore you to go read on those, for though they are far longer past, the scars can still be seen in the people.
     The damage from Helene will eventually be repaired, but the scars from it will always remain in our people.

     For over a month, everything in North Carolina which was West of Hickory would be closed to "essential" traffic only (more about this later), as many roads were washed-away, including a major interstate, I-40, which connected Tennessee & North Carolina through the Appalachain Mountains (see photo 4).
     TO THIS DAY, I-40 HAS NOT BEEN FIXED
     It is still just as destroyed as in the photo; the only thing they've done is convert what was two lanes & a full shoulder westbound into one small lane each for eastbound & westbound traffic.
     Did we lose the technology?
     As of right now the government is estimating that end-of-year 2028 it will be rebuilt after we spend $1,360,000,000
     One & a third BILLION dollars.
     To this day, as has always been the case, the White folks of Appalacia have been forgotten.

     The government is, & has always been, ontologically evil.
     They actively hate you & hope that you die because of the color of your skin.
     When disaster struck, they were not afraid to show their true colors.
     As I mentioned in the last poast in the thread, large sections of North Carolina were locked-down
     This ensured that people in affected areas would be stuck, & that volunteers would never be allowed to reach them
     But that didn't stop us
     I personally went out there with crews of men & truckloads of supplies to help with rescue efforts, & I know plenty of other "racist" organizations that did the same (PF, NOVA, etc).
     But the government was very unhappy with this.
     In parts of TN I planned to travel through to reach NC, the local government shut-down roads to prevent people from accessing the affected areas.
     One brave man, Jordan Seidhom (photo 3, left) had a helicopter & knew how to fly it, so he began rescuing people in areas impossible to reach by truck. He had prior law enforcement experience & was coordinating all his efforts with local officials.
     The government (Federal & State) was very unhappy with this, so they had the Chief of the FIRE DEPARTMENT of Lake Lure (rural town East of Ashevile) threaten him with arrest.
     He was in the middle of a rescue & had to abandon a man up on the top of the mountain, only able to save his wife; that man ended-up swimming to safety another day (else he would've starved to-death) & he was rescued by volunteer EMS from Michigan.

     As mentioned, nobody knew this was coming - in fact, the news told people in the areas which would be hardest-hit (East TN & West NC) that there would be very few issues (see photo 3).
     There are many cases where people were filming minor flooding in the morning, poasting it to social media, & then by the evening their home would be washed-away.
     The last major flood before Helene in this part of the country was The Great Flood of 1916 (see photo 4).
     The Great Flood of 1916 wasn't even one storm either, but rather it was two hurricanes which hit back-to-back, creating enough rain to raise the French Broad River up 21ft in Asheville.
     In Asheville, Helene caused flooding over 24.5ft
     It is a criminal understatement to say that this area was "unprepared"; for the folks living here, the idea that something like this might happen was inconcevable... but it happened.. & worse: the government (Federal & the State of NC) worked to make sure that the area would remain damaged for as long as possible.

     @Hoss @elftummy There was a director who issued "safety guidelines", warning field workers that houses with Trump signs were more likely to be hostile to government workers, residents could be armed and dangerous.
     
     She got removed, maybe not fired though. I don't know if they ever released data on how many houses were skipped for offering aid.

     @PunishedD @Hoss And while that was in Florida, there were many other specific, documented at the time atrocities in western North Carolina like the stopped helicopter rescue.

     People were still living in tents after winter hit, delayed mortality as @elftummy notes had to have been fairly high. The Left, here manifest in a Blue state government with elections to win, very blatantly wants us dead and out of the way.
