     Yep. I feel that way about sites that block VPN/tor use. If they won't allow me to use their site, so be it. I'll find another service provider/vendor and put them in my rear view.
     
     In terms of yt-dlp though, not sure if this is the issue, but I usually use it with a spoofed --user-agent string based on whatever's the latest/popular one is for m$ winblows. I suspect that helps somewhat, and might be worth a shot.

     And if random online service doesn't wants to provide a service, then I just don't use it.

     I tend to have issues with Freetube, but almost never with yt-dlp (including earlier today). However sometimes it does depend on the exit node of my VPN, or I have to use `torsocks` very occasionally.

     @lanodan Yeah, my guess is that at some point they'll limit 4k and some new features behind a monthly premium or something.
     But I'm fine with what I have for now.
     I don't need more features. So even if now things are behind a paywall I don't care.
