    For various reasons, I'm seriously considering changing my middle name. Not legally, since the only place it appears in full is my birth certificate (Although I don't have my long-form birth certificate, so who knows if it's right or even if I was born at all? 🤔

    Anyway, all other official documents have just “M.”.

    So, I can go wild & unilaterally declare the M now stands for something else.

    But, I can't think of anything cool… best I came up with is that it's just “M” period. Ideas welcome.

      I've been looking to change my middle name, but to one still starting with ‘M’. I decided:"Maximiliano".

      I know it seems a haughty choice—but HMO:

      I was reviewing my high school papers & remembered in Spanish class, my 1ˢᵗ teacher gave everyone a name of Spanish origin (eg, “John” ⇒ “Juan”).

      She (apparently) couldn't think of a Latin-origin equiv. to “Bradley” & said
      > «Tu será Maximilano»

      I stopped using it when I graduated HS, but — just like The Big Lebowski — “it fits right in there”.

        Maximiliano
        Maximiliano is a masculine name of Iberian origin, with its original derivation from the Latin word "maximum", which literally translates to "greatest". In fact, as a byproduct of imperialism, the name has become very common in Latin America and rivals that of its notability in the Iberian Peninsula. Notable people with the name include: Maximiliano Alaníz (born 1990), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Araújo (born 2000), Uruguayan footballer Maximiliano Arboleya (1870–1951), Spanish sociologist, priest and activist Maximiliano Arias (born 1988), Uruguayan footballer Maximiliano Asís (born 1987), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Badell (born 1988), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Bajter (born 1986), Uruguayan footballer Maximiliano Blanco (born 1977), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Bustos (born 1982), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Bustos (rugby union) (born 1986), Argentine rugby union player Maximiliano Caire (born 1988), Argentine footballer Maximiliano Caldas (born 1973), Argentine field hockey player Maximiliano Calzada (born 1990), Uruguayan...

        Maximilian I of Mexico
        Maximilian I (Spanish: Fernando Maximiliano José María de Habsburgo-Lorena; German: Ferdinand Maximilian Josef Maria von Habsburg-Lothringen; 6 July 1832 – 19 June 1867) was an Austrian archduke who became emperor of the Second Mexican Empire from 10 April 1864 until his execution by the Mexican Republic on 19 June 1867. A member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, Maximilian was the younger brother of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. Before becoming Emperor of Mexico, he was commander-in-chief of the small Imperial Austrian Navy and briefly the Austrian viceroy of Lombardy–Venetia, but was removed by the emperor. Two years before his dismissal, he briefly met with French emperor Napoleon III in Paris, where he was approached by conservative Mexican monarchists seeking a European royal to rule Mexico. Initially Maximilian was not interested, but following his dismissal as viceroy, the Mexican monarchists' plan was far more appealing to him. Since Maximilian was a descendant of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, King of Spain when the Spaniards conquered the Aztecs (1519–21) and first brought Mexico...

      @richardfontana

      I seen London, & I seen France, but I never seen no queen in her damned undies, & I definitely I seen stupifying stuff in Los Ange-ales …
      & I'm a hard working man. Possibly the hardest working man who ever lived in Boston, NYC, then Portland …which would put me in the running for hardest working man worldwide.

      But, sometimes there's a guy — and I'm talking about myself,Bradley Maximiliano Kuhn, here — who is just the right person for his time &place. I just fit right in here.
