The argumentation in the article is rather detached from reality. Companies rarely contribute to projects, work or financially. The whole open source burnout comes from demands of features and fixes and no contributions. Also, you're not telling anyone how to license their software, everyone is entitled to pick their license. Only not every license meets conditions that allows them to use your code. And for libraries gnu has a dedicated LGPL license
