     This morning:
     Can’t log into my laptop. Too many attempts. Reboot to log in.

     It was the goddamn Windows PIN that one enters when the lighting is bad and Windows Hello doesn’t recognize your face!

     Why did they have to fucking name this PIN? It’s not a freaking number! It has letters!

     Apparently you can have a PIN and a Password on Windows.

     I just read up on it, prompted by your issue.

     A Windows PIN (a mix of numbers, letters& symbols) is supposed to be more secure than a Password, as it's local to the device.

     Yes, 'passcode' would be a better description than PIN but at least your laptop security is great. 😄
