@ChristiJunior ALRIGHT IT'S TIME! LET'S GO MARIN! Need some arguments? Well don't you worry! I've got you covered!

First: Just look at her. Redhead, light skinned, perfect build, a lovely blue dress, a beautiful flower in her hair, and a sweet kind smile. Oh that smile...it radiates beauty and kindness incarnate.

Second: Although once quite niche, Marin wasn't forgotten by Nintendo. She's appeared in her home game of Link's Awakening, but has had cameos throughout the decades since her release! Yes, I said decades. She debuted in the 4th official Zelda game, meaning Marin existed BEFORE Malon, the other redhead if the series, meaning Marin inspired Malon. Not too surprising when you think about all the similarities. (Redhead, 5 letter name that starts with "MA" and ends with "N", a father that resembles Mario, loves to sing, outstanding with animals, etc.). Back to the topic, Marin was clearly never far from Nintendo's thoughts, as they saw fit to create a remake not once, but twice! After the first one on the original Gameboy, they created a DX version for the Gameboy color, and many years later, she was given another visit to spotlight with the Switch version! During the in-between years, the DX version of the game was in the 3DS shop, so people could still see her. She even managed to land as a fighter in the original Hyrule Warriors game, which leads to the next point.

Third: She's a secret tomboy. Despite her slender appearance, she's no slouch. She's capable of combat, clearing waves of enemies numbering in the 100s at a time! Wielding the Sea Lilly Bell and assisted by the Wind Fish himself, even Marin can help take down the likes of the demon king Ganon himself.

Bonus reasons: During the course of the game, there's a small section where you go on a 'date' with Marin, causing some funny stuff to happen. She also has a beautiful singing voice and is very cheerful.

Conclusion: Admittedly, I don't expect Marin to win the entire tourney, but given I didn't even expect her to make it past the qualifier despite my nomination, my hopes are raised. At the very least, help me get her past round one!
