     @charlie_root @Humpleupagus @KramDellaKram That's a perfectly valid take. Workflow is important and people chose for that. They also choose for the type of saturation added to the signal. Curvature can do all the common styles of compression and it'll train you to use a compressor properly. Most DAWs come with perfectly adequate compressors though. I tend to separate saturation from compression for finer control but I still like MagicDeathEye on my master bus to tickle levels but add saturation.
