     @simon codeberg.page has scaling issues and there was discussion of deprecating and removing it with no replacement

     so i built a pages server with fewer scaling issues

     @n0toose @simon oh yeah gotcha. I'm not invested in the idea of dethroning anyone, my stake here is simply "if e.V. gives up on a pages server I will host my own, so I better have one before it becomes an acute emergency"

     @whitequark @simon idk people doing codeberg leadership stuff, I'm a member of the presidium. there was a clear expectation that pages is a thing, and the entire situation has been a bit volatile judging by the e. V.-internal thread 😅

     i applied some updates and now https://grebedoc.dev should work with most of the popular git forges out there, including github, which i think is a pretty cool concept

     i added anycast capability (via fly.io) to https://grebedoc.dev, so now it should be roughly competitive with GH Pages latency-wise
