   I hate to inform you, but if we're going to do anything about the fash, we're going to "give them" lots of "excuses" to do violence.

   *Any* form of resistance will serve as a justification for their violence, so unless you're planning on offering no resistance, you probably don't need to worry about "not giving them an excuse" to escalate their violent activities.

   Resistance does *not* cause authoritarian violence. Authoritarians do.

     You're going to have to accept that they *will* do a lot of damage & that the point is to stop them as quickly as we can, not roll over again & again in the vain hopes that maybe if we let them do their violence without getting in their way they'll do less of it.

     Do you want to resist or don't you? Resistance will be used to justify violence. That's how it's going & that's how it will continue to go.

     If we respond to the expansion of authoritarian control & violence with efforts at appeasement, they will just be allowed to continue unimpeded.

     Getting in the way of the fash, becoming a thorn in their side, is going to make them fucking angry. You understand that, right?

     There's no version of this where we make them go away without ever "provoking" them.

     I guess what I'm feeling is that some people don't understand what a desperate spot we are in... What a desperate spot we *have* been in, for a long time.

     Y'all, we're going to make the fash mad. We are going to *hurt* the fash. We are going to do things that impede their goals, remove their power, etc.

     We're going to make them fucking furious. There's no goddamn "polite" resistance that they will just allow to happen. They won't sit back while we undermine them.

     If you are being raped, do you think "Please stop raping me." is going to save you, or do you gouge your attacker's eyes out, resist his attempts to put you in position, and scream your lungs out?
     I chose the later in that situation.
