    @aetios Fun fact: I don't think I've ever defragmented a drive. (having near exclusively used various kinds of unixes helps ^^)

      @lanodan @aetios I loved seeing the windows utility. It was a bit mesmerizing. Those tiny squares changing colors, the hard drive brrr-ing, and hoping for your computer to be a little faster. What a pleasure.

      I would love a little software faking it.

      @lanodan @aetios No. It lacks a pleasing UI. I want to see those squares moving !

      @lord @aetios Also that reminds me of watching each piece of a torrent appearing as it downloads back with ADSL internet, I forgot which client did that… Azureus/Vuze maybe?

      @lanodan @aetios I can hear my ssd working ! It's gonna get fast !

      This webpage is quite well done but not as good as i hoped. There is no fragmentation ! All those squares are sorted, iirc, there was some "holes". This one looks like a giant progress bar.

      @lord @lanodan @aetios qBittorrent too. They even added it to the web UI some months ago, so I can watch it on my seedbox :D

      @breizh @aetios @lanodan I admit that's not the same as a the good old defragmentation but still it's very pleasing to see !

      @lord @lanodan @aetios If you use Btrfs, you can use https://github.com/knorrie/btrfs-heatmap and start a balance. It does something very similar :D
