I'm beginning to think there's no real political membrane in America anymore.
The age when people would have civil conversation seems to have ended

For context. I consider myself left wing and vote mostly accordingly.
Celebrating the death of a fairly reasonable center right political figure on the basis of political removal is inexcusable and a sign that maybe the left are more unreasonable and insular than I had previously thought
I agree the guy was a shit head, but you don't deserve to die, just for being a shithead

@icedquinn time to just throw bodies at disagreements like savages then I guess...

@lunarised its hard to blame them (to know all is to forgive all.) civilization requires active management and most people are victims of active projects to turn everyone in to neoserfs or kill them outright :blobcatpain:

@hakui has it really gotten that bad that I'm going to be called a Nazi over an opinion such as "People shouldnt be killed for discussing their political opinion"?

@lunarised uh oh that sounds like a nazi opinion according to the left, prepare yourself

@lunarised Almost as if screeching people out of their jobs, homes and lives discourages civility.

@icedquinn once again, the left right divide is fighting the proxy war caused by the authoritarian power trips. :BlobcatFrowningbig:

@hakui I thankfully live in Kiwi-land, and i'm too terminally online to go to crowded places, so i have 2 walls of protection so it would seem
Ive done things im not proud of in crowds before, so I 100% agree with that sentiment

@hakui none the less. Thanks for helping me realize there still are plenty of reasonable people around

@lunarised anyway the best way to survive a happening is to not be there
crowds are their own beasts with their own agenda, many times different from those of its constituents

@lunarised lawful neutral has always been the rarest. before i deleted it one of the stoic podcasts mentioned that even 2,000 years ago its just extremists slamming back and forth whos in control.
on rare occasion the order-above-all types win for a short time and everything becomes extremely stable. then those people die of old age :blabcat:

@icedquinn I will happily get along with anyone who isn't actively advocating for the deaths of innocents...
Which should be a critically low bar.
Thanks for giving me some hope that there are other reasonable humans out there boss 💜💜
