     Listen man, I'm not a doctor but if you turn off the blood flow to the brain as shown in the video, there is almost zero chance of you making it out alive. He went directly into a decerebrate posture which leads me to believe the bullet traveled upwards. Even with medical personnel on standby you're talking slim chances.

The key is to maintain blood perfusion to the brain until you can get IV access and volume expanders in the field, somehow stop the arterial bleeding temporarily, and get the patient to an OR
