@shpuld sure, but my point isn't that it's good or bad, but it's strange to remove someone like eich from mozilla for supporting a side of an issue that was pretty much 50/50 split at the time and had nothing at all today with mozilla.

@shpuld @lain you could argue that they tactically had to vote for democrats and didn't have to do any kind of moral calculus for eich but they have had plenty of opportunity since then when they don't have to make a hard decision and nobody actually cares anymore because it was a long time ago. it persists with eich because it's about ingroup preference. why would I take someone's arguments seriously if ultimately they're just practicing ingroup preference and not really applying a moral code

I don’t like it but I agree that everything reduces down to do I like you or not, if I like you then you can be forgiven.
