     @junesim63 Brazil’s history is filled with coup attempts—some that succeeded, bringing about dictatorships or new regimes, and others that failed. Yet, whenever failed attempts went unpunished—often involving military officers and political figures—the same actors would resurface in new plots, sometimes succeeding the next time. Today, Brazil’s judiciary is keenly aware that it cannot afford to be lenient with those who conspire against democratic institutions.
