@eamon does anyone at the house use a Mac? Ask them to open keychain access and type the name of the network, authenticate with their computer username and password to get the password. Windows should have something similar (windows credentials)?

Is WPS totally deprecated?
I'm staying at a house and nobody knows the WiFi password. I have access to the router, and it has a WPS button, but I can't figure out how to actually make it work? I can't find any info on USING WPS that's less than ten years old... Although Gnome still invites me to "connect by pushing the 'WPS' button on your router".
I'd be grateful if somebody would either tell me, "no, yeah, that hasn't worked in forever," or (ideally) give me tips on troubleshooting this.
