    I found a Sirius XM station that only plays old radio dramas and my wife is obsessed with it now.

      @triodug that sounds great, and an actual good use for a million satellite radio stations instead of 100 nearly identical "oldies" stations

      @triodug my parents actually own a "lifetime subscription" to XM that they bought in the 1990s but I can't find the god damn radio receiver

      @sun yeah it's awesome. They play old commercials from the 40s and 50s too.

      @sun damn that's crazy! Wonder if you can have it transferred to a different radio

      @triodug nope it's tied to the radio device, that's the catch.

      @echo @triodug it used to be the head unit had a removable faceplate with the actual radio id part in it so you could switch it easily to another car

      @sun @triodug The fuck?

      Surely there must be a way. Like, what if the device breaks? Also, weren't many of them build into cars? What if you bought a new car?

      @sun @triodug My 2010 JK Jeep Wrangler came with XM head unit from the factory. It even worked, I had a trial for 1 year. The screen was a dot indicator like maybe 32x120, green. I went through all channels and there was no J-pop, so I lost interest.
