     @deborahh @bmacDonald94 I don’t think this is quite right either. Maybe you don’t go on social media at all but if you bank online, submit job applications online, etc. your info is getting collected, scraped, and sold. Your ISP or cellphone provider keeps track of where you are and what sites you visit.

     And there’s the whole thing about credit bureaus, which collect and sell your info even if you don’t really go online at all.
