   It really does weird me out that my boomer parents think therapy is anti-thetical to religion.

   Bro got a 'you don't need therapy! You have God!'

   Welp, the G man didn't seem to do anything for his anxiety but those SSRIs sure did.

     It's frustrating because religion is culture in a lot of ways. It's history, it's community, it's artistic expression, and for some it is a form of therapy. But I really do hate how easy it is for people within a religion to fear change and progression and technology.

     I know religion is important to many, but when you've grown up with it being a form of control it is increasingly difficult to not hate it as a whole concept.

     @RamenCatholic I was (and still kind of am) an angry atheist, but my biggest fear was ending up in another cult just by looking for a place to be. That sounds like a good compromise tho haha
