I pray this is more of a bluster & bluff strategy aimed to intimidate rather than subjugate.

However, I can no longer rule out anything with this administration anymore after seeing some of the actions they have taken (like internment camps, something I thought I would NEVER see in my lifetime in America 🇺🇸).

@EverydayMoggie Oddly I thought since internment camps did not appear in the first Trump administration, that America 🇺🇸 would not reintroduce them in the second administration.

Now states are clamming for their own versions, which is terrifying.

I'm kind of surprised you thought internment camps were something you'd never see in America, considering it's only been 80 years since the last time we had them.

@EverydayMoggie People have already died in these camps, although some are being ruled as suicides. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/30/us-ice-detention-deaths

Yeah. It is. And I'm not convinced these are really intended for internment. I think people are being sent there with the expectation that they will all die.
