     I have three laptops, a Mac OS X (Al Capitan I think)
     An Asus Vivobook that runs Windows 11, and a Levono ThinkPad Tablet that runs Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, I still hope to upgrade it to 644bit Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and nothing else, since Windows 8 fucking sucks. I can't even use a virtual machine with an iso image.

     @Purp1Lady @Wiz @William_The_Dragonborn There's multiple laptops in my house, all of them being previously mine. My actual current laptop is an asus vivobook 16 (x1605za). Runs gentoo, cpu is an i5-12500H, with 24GB of ram. It's so nice.

     That's nice, I wanted to have a macbook but couldn't get it back in 2020, so I am on leenoooox. As for Windows, if I were to need stuff that doesn't have something similar on linux or a port of it for linux, and it doesn't run on Wine, I can try using a VM I suppose, but I haven't had to do that. At most I had to use a VM to do a thing to be able to play a gacha under Linux, but now that gacha supports the steam deck and thus linux.

I really like Intel now since they have stuff to run LLMs nicely, but it's not fast enough on my laptop for me to seriously use, it's more of a toy. Newer intel socs *are* quite faster for it but I will only be able to upgrade in the future, and by then I'll get a gaming laptop so it'll not really matter haha. I do want fast cpu perf though. My whole system takes like around 18? hours to compile (from 0 to desktop boot), so in the future I think that could be reduced to just 10 hours.
