On the mans side, make it so if he beats his wife he has to pay a large fine to her father. If he kills her, he is stripped of all assets and exiled.
You just remove women's rights and make it reasonable for a man to want to treat his tardwife well, and functioning society comes back.-

@Owl @kc-poast @PraxisOfEvil @Griffith @EllisDee I didn't mean for my comment to be a "woman hate" message even if I feel it at times. I am so sick and tired of this war of the sexes our culture has, but I'm not going to pretend I don't know who threw the first punches.
The thing that bothers me is that we're at an impasse. It's obvious that women don't like men, they say it all the time through words and actions, but women still are hopelessly dependent. It leaves a very difficult and icky conundrum about the future: women can either
A. become actual girlbosses who are independent of men and will fix their cars, build their homes, clean their sewers, fight their wars etc etc;
B. pretend girlboss and allow infastructure to collapse as men give up, allowing foreigners to invade who WILL take away their rights, or
C. somehow get past the repulsion they feel towards average men so those men have a reason to keep the lights on and the fridge full.
That's it. Those are the options. I'd love a scenario that avoids all these but there's really no way to slice the pie without someone feeling like they're getting gypped.

Women "accepted" anyone who wasn't a goblin and had a modicum of ambition 40 years ago. The bar was even lower a few decades before. Now, even 6' chads making close to 6 figures ate getting blown off.
Average is a sliding scale for the woman mind. And I don't blame them for it. They sense that something is coming and they will need a sense of security never before seen in recent history to get through it, so they are looking out for their own interests. They don't understand that their inability to settle is accelerating the process. -

@Owl @PraxisOfEvil @kc-poast @Griffith @EllisDee Right now? Motivation. Speaking personally, I put a considerable amount of energy into keeping myself "attractive" and it hasn't gotten me anywhere. Sure I get looks now, but they're all from women I can't love because they're not trying to be attractive. It takes two to tango, and when I'm on the dance floor solo after learning the moves, I start to wonder why I even bother. I'd have a lot more motivation to become the best version of myself if I actually had payoff for what I've accomplished thus far, but as it stands a weekend brownie is worth more than the diminishing returns of trying to become even more attractive in a world of fundamentally unattractive people.
The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

I'm talking about the guys who are invisible until something needs done. Think of your average plumber.
I'm not saying guys are exempt from scrutiny (your average guy is fat) but I've seen far more men trying to meet women halfway than the opposite.
