I don't understand what this article has to do with anything.

Italians, Irish, Chinese ... if they came over as a family during any of the periods of immigration influx prior to child labor laws, they essentially had a bunch of free labor; labor dedicated to the family's survival. You'd easily be able to find a lot of businesses dominated by immigrant families all over places like NYC.

Even one of my good high school friends and his brother worked constantly in his family's Chinese restaurant growing up. They were basically free labor. Both of them went to college and got different carriers, but there are many situations where these things stay within the family for generations. Gas stations and restaurants are the most common.

If it has any relation at all to your second link, those family businesses were also the most likely to survive the scamdemic due to having that labor pool.

This response exemplifies the problem with legal immigration which I assume you are a product of. Rather than behaving as guests in our nation and helping us preserve the make up of our nation, legal immigrants usually push for more immigration which perpetuates our problems.

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but there's an ocean between the US and India. Most Indians came over legally. My father included. Full work visa to greencard to citizenship. He didn't start a business. He was a EE and worked in nuclear plans for 30 years and put me and my sister through college.

I will say this about my Chinese friend working in that restaurant, it did suck he and his brothers worked all of those hours. I never thought that was cool. But it was legal for both he and his brother to work there. Neither worked kitchen until they were over 16. They didn't cheat on any labor laws. I doubt "the Patels" did either.

If family members are undocumented, the state is not looking for them to be in school.

You got anything to back this up? Education is insanely important to middle class Indian families. Your kids always go to school. You have to get good grades. You have to go to college. It's not an option in the mind of Indian families.

The main problem is that the Patels are not Americans

What the fuck even is an American dude? My dad got his engineering degree, learned English, found a job and came over legally. He got his citizenship on his own before I turned 18. I never sponsored him or my sister. They're just as American as you. They put in the work and earned it. Literally the American dream that most Americans think never existed.

Many family run businesses were collapsed by the lockdowns. The corporations wanted this.

Child labor laws are very damaging to families. Instead of children being productive on the farm or elsewhere, they become a burden to the family which causes parents to have less of them. On top of that, children are forced by law to go to indoctrination centers known as public schools unless the parents can afford to have them be a further burden by paying for private schools.

The Patels got around child labor laws. Many of their family members were here illegally. If family members are undocumented, the state is not looking for them to be in school.

The main problem is that the Patels are not Americans and were allowed to take over the hotel industry. We can find similar stories in many other places.

I'm an American. I was born here. I've always been an American. I've literally had no other citizenship besides American. My accent is American. I'm ethnically an Indian, but I've never lived there. Everyone came here at some point. I'm sorry you can't understand the basic concepts of America.

Don't confuse citizenship with nationality and don't confuse the state with the nation. You are a citizen of this state but not a national of this nation. The nation is the people and families whereas the state is the government of one or more nations.

If someone is called a Chinese American, a Japanese American, or Indian American, it means his nationality is Chinese, Japanese, or Indian and a citizen of the state called USA. I am American American AKA American as defined in the 1790 naturalization act and as we Americans know our nation to be.

I am sorry that you will always be considered a guest in our nation even though you were born here until unless you stop acting like a guest. Then you become an unwanted guest.

My first job when I lived in New Zealand: contract work for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet for their document management system. Not a citizen. Not even a resident. I had a fucking holiday work visa.

They only have 4 million people living there. Not a lot of options.

My father's first job in the US was at a nuclear plant. That was in the 70s. He couldn't do that today. You have to be a US citizen to work anything nuclear or ITAR.

When it comes to high ranking position in the US, the only thing you have to be is a pedophile apparently.

An important founding document of the United States you were probably not taught about in school is the 1790 Naturalization act that established the nation as for free whites only.

This was gradually whittled away in successive acts around immigration. https://immigrationhistory.org/timeline/
You can see that it was not legal for Chinese to become citizens until 1952 with heavy restrictions and quotas.

Now nearly all immigrants are non-white, and whites are projected to soon be a minority in the nation they founded.

@Bernard @djsumdog I think you should include Chinese in the people who come long ago and can be considered completely American. The Chinese came in massive numbers in the time of the Wild West, cowboy times, to build the rails on the railroad network. Even before many European descendants in US. Chinese was massive in the time of Wild West

I understand how you feel and know many people in your situation. Nearly all my ancestors came here 400 years ago and built this nation. If I was born in India, Japan, or any other nation, they would not consider me Indian or Japanese. I hope you can understand that.

Other nationalities or ethnicities are often welcome in our country as long as they don't seek to undermine it by doing things such as pushing for more unwanted immigration. When we have a small group of foreigners living here, we can deal with them, but the situation now has become untenable. Support us in restoring our nation, and we will welcome and treat you well. White traitors and Jews are our biggest problems.

English colonization was very different from Spanish. When the English came, they brought their wives and family and rarely mixed with the Indians. Few Spanish women came with the conquistadors which led to huge miscegenation and the mestizos who largely populate Mesoamerica. Although English and Spanish were of very similar genetics and culture, this mixing or non mixing led to very different civilizations.

You are correct that laws don't define a nation. The people and families of the nation define it. A strong cohesive nation can overturn even the most tyrannical state. A nation is only strong and cohesive if the people share common culture. Culture is an expression of a species/race. This is why our tyrannical state is constantly trying to dilute and destroy our nation by allowing foreign immigration, passing civil rights laws, and attacking anybody who resists. If you are of a foreign species and culture, we will not consider you as our nationality for this reason. Guests are still welcome as long as they preserve the nation.
