     @helene I'm bretty good at reading now but I sort of hit a wall with being able to produce anything sensible myself. frankly I don't really know what to do next, I've just been trying to listen and read a bunch and hope that I pick up something.

     @helene same. I planned on learning Japanese so I could understand anime w/o translations but I'm too stupid to learn it :blobcatsadlife: I'm amazed too when I see someone speaking somewhat fluent Japanese

     @helene In my defense it was incredibly difficult thing to do when I started. Learning kanji before Wanikani sucked ass.

     @helene no... I don't have any japanese friends and I'm very scared of chatting even with close friends in a language that I can actually speak. it makes me very anxious.
