    Crazy.
    All Mdme Macron has to do is produce a DNA test, surely?

      @KeepTakingTheSoma @RadicalCartoons @shrikefliesfree Personally, if someone accused me of being a man, I'd be more than happy to prove them wrong.

      @shrikefliesfree My point is, why go through all the hassle of an embarrassing defamation court case?
      Defamation only has one defence - that the accusation is not true.
      So to stop this nonsense, the Macrons only have to provide proof.

      @RadicalCartoons @shrikefliesfree The proof should lie with the accuser. Candace Owens should have been more circumspect when making her claim. It is for her to prove.
      However, we may interpret the Macrons' actions as we please.

      @RadicalCartoons My first thought is that women should not have to produce chromosome tests on demand because most of those requests would come from disingenuous clowns.

      Then I wondered why, if the issue of sex is causing all this drama, why not just invite media sources from left and right to choose their own testing facility and go give the sample right in front of them. All the results should be the same no matter what lab.

      Then I remembered the TIMs and decided I would be OK with all people having a chromosome test at birth or when they renew some sort of gov issued ID and make the results of that test be permanent and unchangeable by law. No more legal fictions.

      @KeepTakingTheSoma @shrikefliesfree But the only proof is chromosomes, regardless of who you think should supply the DNA test. In this case they (the Macrons) have to defend a defamation, so it is for them to provide the proof.

      @RadicalCartoons @shrikefliesfree It's an interesting one.
      The idea that being called a man instead of a woman (or vice versa) is some form of slur is a current one. Most of us don't care if a person's partner/spouse is same or opposite sex (I know I don't care either way. it's their private life, not mine). Presumably the Macrons have decided to act upon Owens's speech. They could have ignored it or said it's nobody's business, or confirmed it and said "So what?" but they chose another course. We are free to interpret their choice as we see fit.
      It's at times like this I miss her late Majesty. She would have risen above it with her never complain, never explain policy. Recollections may vary.
      Let's see what unfolds.
