   This video I'm watching claims Americans didn't like the name Playstation when the PS1 came out. It did badly in test markets. Seems ridiculous.
   I think it's clever. Work station, Playstation.

     They claim Sony America insisted the "Play" in "Playstation" is too similar to Playboy and could be misconstrued.
     ...I have never once thought of Playboy in reference to Playstation, and I don't know anyone who has.

     @joshrivers Vita means life! Or so I'm told. I love my Vita and my only regret is I didn't get to experience it when it was current. I was stuck living at my grandmother's and couldn't set up my consoles. So, I got a handheld. I didn't know about the Vita and what it was like, and ended up with a 3DS. I got the Vita long after, and learned it is STILL awesome! I love this thing!
